Submissions
Submission Guidelines:
General Guidelines:
- 12-point serif font, double-spaced.
- PDF or Microsoft Word documents only.
- Up to five micro or flash pieces allowed per submission, or two short stories.
- Please include your first and last name, title(s), word count (per piece, if multiple submissions), and a brief author bio in the body of your email submission.
- Additional submissions allowed only after you have heard back about current submissions.
- Simultaneous submissions allowed, but do let us know if your work is accepted elsewhere!
- Previously published material allowed if it is no longer in print or otherwise available via another publisher.
- Submissions are 100% free. No reader fee or submission fee required.
- We unfortunately cannot offer payment at this time.
- Please allow up to three months to hear back about a submission, although we will typically reach out much sooner.
Word Counts:
- Short Stories: 1,000-5,000 words
- Flash Fiction: Up to 1,000 words
- Micro Fiction: Up to 200 words
Rights:
We ask for first electronic rights. Rights will then revert back to the author, but we will ask for archival rights for our online archive. For any future print publications, we will ask for first North American serial rights.
